2025 Summer Camp

Bonfire at camp wannakumbac

Wannakumbac's Summer Camp program provides a 7- day, 6-night co-ed experience for campers (ages 8 to 15).  Camp has provided a creative, educational, and unique social experience for young people from all backgrounds and cultures from across Manitoba and beyond for over 75 years.  For youth (Ages 16+), we have offered Counsellor In Training Leadership Development programs for almost 30 years!

Wannakumbac is a non-denominational camp, owned by The Clear Lake Community Service Cooperative Inc. Est. 2024, which is non-profit, and ensures that camper fees are lowest possible.  Should you wish to become a member at the one-time fee of $10.00, please visit (click here!).

Camp was previously owned by the Wasagaming Foundation (beginning 1948).  Current sponsors are: Manitoba Credit Unions, Co-op Hail, and the Elks.

Our standards are established by the Manitoba Camping Association, from which we receive our accreditation, ensuring that your child will be provided with the highest quality of care and programming.

Located steps away of the West shore of Clear Lake/Riding Mountain National Park, Manitoba, we take full advantage of our natural surroundings to contribute to your child's educational, mental, and physical development as well as their social development. There is a beach and lake-front, trails through deep forests and marshes, and rolling hills to explore.

At Wannakumbac, campers experience a week of Fun, Friends, and Learning (our motto).  Campers return home with greater independence, new skills, and renewed/strengthened confidence in themselves. Wannakumbac offers activities including archery, arts & crafts, canoeing/kayaking, dance, drama, environmental science, fishing, guitar/ukulele, hiking, media, mountain biking, digital photography, snorkeling, waterfront recreational games and sports, wilderness survival, yoga, and more! Please see below for a brief description of each activity!

We are proud of our programs, staff, and traditions. We offer age-appropriate activities that provide campers with new challenges.  Each week is full of surprises that includes visits by game-show hosts, movie characters, music stars, and more!
