On COVID-19 and Summer Camp

Among all the uncertainty of this pandemic, we have decided to delay summer camp registration indefinitely. Though there are still many unknowns with our government’s recent announcements, we know that overnight camps will not be permitted in both phases 1 and 2. This means that given the current timelines and restrictions we have come to the heart breaking conclusion that for the first time in 70+ years of Wannakumbac’s existence, we will be unable to run our regular week-long overnight program. As the news surrounding this virus has unfolded our considerations have been and will remain with the well being of our campers. For the future of Camp Wannakumbac, we are still hopeful to run some form of program this summer. What that would look like is unknown at this time.

We will let you know as soon as we make our final decision on what we can offer for summer programming. The latest we will make this announcement is June 1st.

  • 7 day sessions beginning on Wednesday afternoon and ending on the Tuesday evening.
  • We do not offer any transportation at this time.
  • Cabin requests are only available for Junior A and B weeks. We want your child to learn and grow by making new friends and meeting new people, therefore all cabin arrangements are randomized.
  • Campers can only attend weeks that their age during their camp week corresponds with. For example, if your child will be turning 12 in September, they will only be allowed to attend weeks that are eligible for 11-year-old campers. We do not make any exceptions to this rule as there are multiple weeks for most ages to attend.
  • All camps are co-ed.
  • Price includes GST.

You cannot register online for Counselor in Training. Fill out a registration form and mail in to the camp office along with your resume.

Mail-in Applications

Registration is postponed indefinitely at this time.

  • Payments can be made by cheque or money order; credit/debit and e-transfers are not accepted for mail-in applications.
  • A $50.00 deposit is non-refundable and must accompany all mail-in registration, even if you are applying for financial assistance.

Online Registration

Registration is postponed indefinitely at this time.

  • Payment can be made by credit card only.
  • A full payment will be required when registering online. In the case of a refund being requested, $50 of your payment is considered a non-refundable deposit.
